Roll Coolant Systems

During the process of metal rolling the temperature at the roll bite is very high. If the rolls are not maintained at a particular temperature, then there is variation in strip thickness and the strip shape. Also the rolling process generates a lot of wear debris, which if not carried away from the roll bite area will cause roll and strip marking. Roll coolants are used to cool and flush the rolls during the rolling process.

Roll coolant systems are complete with reservoirs, Pumps Motor assemblies and necessary filtration and separation systems, tramp oil removal systems etc. The clean oil at the right temperature, pressure and clarity is then supplied to the roll bite.
